Responsibilities of the Position We are currently seeking a Director of Business Development for our Geospatial C2 business unit. This position will be located in suburban Philadelphia, PA or Orlando, FL. We are seeking a motivated and passionate individual to help grow our award winning Research & Development team in geospatial command, control and intelligence systems. You will use your operational expertise and problem solving expertise to focus technology development on important, real-world problems. Using your interpersonal skills, you will interface with world-class technology organizations, identifying and developing business opportunities that can grow our business, advance our technology and help make the world a smaller and safer place.

Skills, Education and Experience Required:

  • Recent military operations experience in Asymmetric warfare and small unit operations (Brigade/Regiment and below). Combat Arms Officer, O4 or above, Army/USMC, Military Education Level (MEL) 4 or higher. Command and Primary Operations or Intel staff experience.
  • Business development experience in developing business with R&D organizations and/or working with DoD labs and acquisition programs.
  • The ability to provide/apply operational experience to aid technology development/design, formulate win strategies on new business efforts, and to network within the customer community.
  • Geospatial and Command & Control systems operations and/or technology experience. The ability to provide/apply operational experience to aid technology development/design, formulate win strategies on new business efforts, and to network within the customer community.
  • Geospatial and Command & Control systems operations and/or technology experience. The ability to identify R&D program and bid opportunities, to build relationships and establish partnering/teaming relationships with other commercial and government operations.
  • Must have excellent oral and written presentation skills.
  • East coast location (Fort Washington, PA or Orlando, FL). Travel 25–33 percent.
  • Must be a US Citizen and possess or be able to obtain Secret level security clearance.

Desired:

  • Engineering degree (highly desirable).
  • Advanced business or marketing degree (desirable).
  • Proposal management/development experience (highly desirable).
  • Special Operations background (highly desirable).
  • Proposal management/development experience (highly desirable).

NLP Architect/Engineer

Summary: Development Department NLP Software Architect/Engineer. Responsible for Searching and Indexing, Java, .NET, Algorithm Development and Evaluation, Natural Language Processing, Data Mining, Machine Learning, Pattern Recognition, Performance Optimization, Vector Machines, multithreaded, parallel algorithms.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Build next generation knowledge extraction engines.
  • Develop high-performance algorithms around entity recognition and extraction.
  • Conceive, design and implement solutions to difficult problems.
  • Researching and investigating academic and industrial data mining, statistical machine learning and modeling techniques to apply to specific business cases.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced degree in computer science or related field with significant exposure to machine learning, natural language processing, text analysis, data mining and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge and experience with specific machine learning statistical/mathematical modeling algorithms or techniques such as support pattern recognition, open NLP tools to perform categorization and automated machine coding.
  • Excellent programming skills.
  • Good understanding of algorithms, common machine learning models, performance optimization techniques, and object-oriented programming.
  • Expert in multithreaded programming and parallel algorithms.
  • Exposure to healthcare technology industry and enterprise systems desirable.
